AceAnalytics.dev is a personal portfolio and demonstration site operated by an individual based in Birmingham, Alabama (the "Operator"). It is maintained as a hobby and capability-showcase project intended to help peers, prospective collaborators, and recruiters in financial services understand the Operator's work. It is not a commercial product, not a registered business offering, and not a vendor relationship of any kind unless and until a separate written agreement is executed.

1. Engagement restriction (please read carefully)

The Operator is employed full-time in the finance function of a regional commercial bank (the "Current Employer"). To avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest, and to honor obligations owed to the Current Employer, the Operator will not accept consulting, advisory, contract, or paid engagements of any kind from, on behalf of, or for the benefit of:

  • any direct vendor of the Current Employer;
  • any company whose products or services are reasonably understood to compete with the Current Employer or with any vendor the Current Employer relies on for material services;
  • any party that would create a duty of confidentiality, loyalty, or non-compete in tension with the Operator's obligations to the Current Employer; or
  • any party seeking access to information, work product, or insight derived from the Operator's role at the Current Employer.

By using this site, requesting a demonstration, or initiating contact, you acknowledge this restriction and agree that no consulting or advisory relationship is created by your use of the site, and that any inquiry that would fall within the categories above will be politely declined. The Operator reserves sole discretion to determine whether a given inquiry falls within these categories.

This restriction does not preclude general professional discussion, public-information conversations, demonstrations of the Operator's tooling on synthetic or sample data, or potential discussions about full-time employment opportunities, subject to all other applicable obligations.

2. Nature of the site

The four tools featured on the site - Aperture, Parallax, Lattice, and Dialect - are independent personal projects. They are presented as capability demonstrations only. They are not licensed software products, are not supported under any service-level agreement, and may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. Permitted use

You may browse the site, request a demonstration, and use the demonstration tools for evaluation purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

  • use the site or its tools to process material non-public information, customer data, regulated personal information, or any data you are not authorized to share with a third party;
  • attempt to access, scrape, or reverse engineer the site or its underlying systems beyond what is exposed for normal use;
  • represent yourself as affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the Operator or AceAnalytics.dev without express written permission;
  • use the site or its tools to violate law or any agreement to which you are bound; or
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

4. No advice; no fiduciary relationship

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, lending, credit, or other professional advice. Demonstration outputs are illustrative and may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinated values notwithstanding the validation logic described in marketing materials. Do not rely on demonstration outputs to make a financial, lending, investment, or other consequential decision. No fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship is created by your use of the site.

5. Intellectual property

All site content, design, tooling, source code, model artifacts, copy, and the AceAnalytics name and brand are the property of the Operator or used with permission. No license is granted by implication. You may quote brief portions for non-commercial commentary and review with attribution; all other use requires written permission.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the tools, you grant the Operator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

6. Third-party links and services

The site may link to or rely on third parties (calendar booking, email, hosting, analytics). Their terms govern your interaction with them. The Operator is not responsible for third-party content, conduct, or availability.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ITS TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT DEMONSTRATION OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ITS TOOLS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

The Operator may suspend or terminate your access to the site or any demonstration at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sections 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to the site or these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Alabama, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The Operator's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the site. The Operator may update these Terms at any time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
